Bungalows are usually smaller, 1 or 1.5 story homes that are commonly found in several styles. While technically it isn’t a style of itself, but more a definition of size. In our present vernacular, a bungalow can be also called a craftsman bungalow, although there are bungalows in other styles such as the Spanish Mission style. Most common elements are: keeping the house simple, relying on natural materials, and good quality craftsmanship. We have many homes in our area that can be called bungalows, and most of them have an arts and crafts inspired interior, so much so that the term bungalows, arts and crafts, and craftsman are used interchangeably.
