Here in Minneapolis, we have houses in various styles. Most of the houses were built in the 1900’s to 1940’s. They were designed primarily to the latest fashion statement of the day. On this site, you’ll see examples of the various common styles in drawings and photos.
Not every house fits one style. Some houses are very true to their style, while others have taken more liberty with some pieces from one style, and some from another style. The term for this is eclectic. But even with a mashup of styles, most houses still will be described as being in a particular style.
